Whatever you do, do not watch the English dubbed version on Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon .  It’s hard to take the film seriously with the semi-acceptable English dubbing.  The translations are so raw, it ends up sounding silly.  After watching it dubbed, I appreciated that they showed the subtitled version of the film in the theaters.
